Endurance Engineer- Top tier 1 supplier -Automotive

For my clients in Belgium, I am looking for an Endurance Engineer. This is real good opportunities to join a well known tier 1 automotive supplier for the development of exhaust lines. For you it means evolving in well founded R&D department where you will learn on a daily basis, develop your skills and value your technical versatility.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze the customer requirements for endurance and functionality.
• Design, develop and validate the endurance of emission control systems/components.
• Establish the endurance validation plan in dialogue with Bosal engineering team and customer.
• Propose the material selection, thickness and design based on the applicable design criteria to meet the endurance requirements.
• Organize in dialogue with the CAE department the endurance calculation work.
• Initiate prototype manufacturing work.
• Initiate and follow up physical testing.
• Interpretation and synthesis of the obtained virtual and physical results to successfully perform the validation and/or make proposals for design improvements.
• Make reporting, documentation and presentation of the results of this work in accordance to internal and applicable customer specific requirements.
• Contribute to the improvement of the tools and engineering know-how of endurance engineering.

SKILLS

• Master in Engineering
• Good English language skills
• Thorough knowledge in following domains: Durability, Thermal management, Vibrations, Structure dynamics, Combustion engines, Materials (stainless steels)
• Good communication skills. Operates well in a matrix engineering team and communicates fluently with customers on technical items.

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 3 years relevant experience in endurance engineering.
• Preferably 1 year experience in automotive R&D environment.
