One of my clients in the Swiss Life Sciences Sector is looking to hire a talented Project Assistant to come on board and work in their Medical department, primarily in close cooperation with the Medical Affairs team. If you are based in Switzerland, speak fluent English and ideally good German; if you have a scientific educational background (BsC/MsC) and have worked in a detail oriented, organisational role before, this might be just the role for you!

What you will do:

  • You will get to work with the medical experts of the company and support their daily work in various areas
  • You provide all around project management and administrative support
  • You will be an integral part of various projects, f.e. you will get to drive the implementation project of internal databases and systems within the medical department
  • You will get the chance to be an integral part of the logistical support and organization before and during national and international congresses
  • You will help managing the KOL engagement plan in collaboration with R&D, Medical & Field Medical colleagues
  • You will provide logistical support for advisory boards, and other meetings (internal and external)
  • Support successful execution of advisory board plans
  • Prepare training documents/binders, other correspondence and documents as needed
  • Prepare PowerPoint slides as needed
  • Schedule appointments/meetings
  • Support monitoring and management of the impact on program planning and execution of new developments in the medical environments
  • Travel is a required component of this job - about 25% (in normal circumstances)

Who you are:

  • Educational background BsC/ MsC in a pharma/ medical device related subject
  • Someone with initial experience in project management (from project idea to project launch phase)
  • A true multitasker who thrives in a dynamic environment
  • Someone who can work independently as well as in support of and in collaboration with other team members
  • Great attention to detail and organisational, communication skills
  • Highly ethical since will need to be managing confidential and sensitive information
  • Solid computer skills - Microsoft office (word, excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook
  • Fluent English skills a must, good German a clear plus
  • Comfortable with travelling within and occasionally also outside of Switzerland

This is a great junior role for someone who would like to find their way into the industry, especially into a highly scientific medical / medical affairs related field for the future. Be an essential part of the team from day 1 in order to ensure smooth operation of the medical team. Get the chance the learn the ins and outs of the roles that you work in support of and you might want to thrive towards to yourself in your career development with time.
