Regulatory Specialist - REACh Compliance - newly established office

Our client - a consultancy that is working a little differently than all of the other regulatory consultancies with a core focus on downstream users. In addition, the UK is not it's core focus as a market therefore giving you international exposure as a guarantee. That being said, with its clients outside of the UK, your role is to consultant on changing UK REACh regulation under BREXIT.

Your role as a Regulatory Team leader / Manager will be to manage incoming workload and act as an only representative. This really is a fantastic opportunity to move into a senior role longer term, be invested in and trained in management, and essentially build a team of 5 within 12 months.

Your core responsibilities will be to

Lead and develop the technical team in the UK

Work with the sales team in Finland to help technically to secure business.

Advise clients on upcoming regulatory obligations and provide necessary technical regulatory services, including UK REACH Only Representation, UK REACH Downstream User Importer Notifications, Grandfathering and Registrations and Authorisations

Interface with the authorities in the Health and Safety Executive and the Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra).

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE More specifically

Educated to degree level within chemistry or similar scientific discipline.

Strong knowledge and previous working experience in regulatory areas. Experience or knowledge in UK and European REACH regulation is highly beneficial

Whilst this will be a managerial role, candidates will not need to display people management experience as the company will support and develop you in this function. Although experience is also welcomed

Ability to work in Manchester full time on site.
