A Local Authority based in the East London region is looking to take on an experienced locum Social Worker within their Child Protection service.

• Contracts are being offered on a long term basis with most contractors having worked in the Local Authority for more than a year
• Local Authority benefits from a long standing permanent management team who have been a part of the significant improvements
• Average caseloads are around 17 with a plan to reduce this further
• high levels of support from the management team who are always available to help support and answer any questions
• Very responsive manager who ensures cases are closed when appropriate so that you are not holding cases longer than necessary
• Pay rates of up to £35/Hr

You will be joining an established Child Protection team which is largely stable service which has long standing locums and an established permanent workforce. The Local Authority values good quality locums and will provide you with the same training and development opportunities that are usually reserved for permanent staff to ensure that you maintain professional development whilst providing a high level of service.

The Local Authority are also keen to keep on good quality Locums and do offer locums to change or apply to other areas of Children Services at the end of their assignment. This provides locums with additional stability if the initial 6 month contract comes to an end as well the opportunity to develop experience in other areas of Children's Services.

to be considered for this post you should have experience within a Child Protection service and be able to complete Court Work.
