Supervising Social Worker - Therapeutic Fostering Service

Our Client is an 'Outstanding' Independent Fostering Agency looking for a Supervising Social Worker to join their team in Kent.

This is a specialist therapeutic organisation that focuses on residential care, education and foster placements for children who have experienced severe trauma and often experience attachment disorder as a result. Their specialised therapy and education services work collaboratively with the fostering team to provide direct support and training to our foster carers, as well as individual and group sessions to the children in our care.

As a Supervising Social Worker you will be responsible for the assessment, supervision and support of a small case load of foster carers who are mainly based in East Kent (Canterbury, Deal, Medway, Folkestone).

The position offers 36 days annual leave and a salary range of £30,000 to £40,000. The role will also consider part time applicants.

To be considered for this position you will be a Qualified Social Worker with at least one year experience in working within a Fostering Agency or Fostering Team. You must be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of Fostering Minimum Standards, Fostering Legislation and Safeguarding. You must also hold a full UK Driving Licence and have access to your own vehicle.
