Manager bio-statistics - CRO - Partly homebased *EU only*

My client, a well- established CRO, active on a global scale, is looking to hire manager in bio-statistics. The Manager bio-statistis wil manage, coordinate and define the objectives of the statistical team, including project management and support from the sales team.

Responsibilities:

Management of a team of statisticians and SAS programmers

• Define individual team goals as well as training schedules
• Perform annual team evaluations
• Ensure the correct use of the "timesheet" application and validate the hours of service

recorded by employees, as well as leave requests

• Bring expertise to various statistical issues, including statistical programming
• Support the professional development of less experienced employees
• Establish and maintain good internal communication
• Interview candidates for employment

Monitoring of projects carried out by 4Clinics on behalf of the sponsor

• Be the main contact person for all aspects of the project and, as required, discuss the project with the sponsor
• Participate in the preparation of meetings with the sponsor
• Guarantee the respect of project deadlines
• Perform quality controls
• Guarantee the quality and validity of deliverables

Support for the 4Clinics sales team

• Understand the needs of 4Clinics customers and respond appropriately
• Write responses to calls for tenders for statistical tasks and evaluate costs associates
• Provide technical support to the sales team during meetings with clients

Creation of internal standards and recommendations regarding statistical tasks

• Define work processes
• Write standard procedures (SOPs) and internal recommendations
• Guarantee the compliance of all procedures and deliverables as part of the studies with 4Clinics standards

What we are looking for:

• Doctorate / Master in statistical sciences with a specialization in biostatistics and / or with a 5 to 8 years of professional experience in clinical research, in collaboration with the teams of medical research and development, within a pharmaceutical company or a CRO
• Very good analytical skills and in-depth knowledge of the area of ​​expertise concerned;
• Able to use good judgment and make decisions in the face of a wide variety of problems with statistical activities
• Excellent communication skills
