Product Development Manager / Adhesives (hotmelt)

For one of our clients, one of the best known companies in the chemical industry, we are currently looking for a Senior Product Development Manager ( Hotmelt Adhesives ) to join their German entity in Nordrhein Westafallen.

It is a team leading role where you will be responsible for 10 high qualified specialists. You can use your management talent and coordination skills in order to make your team successful.

Your profile :

• Degree in a relevant subject
• Proven track record of successfully managing technical projects
• Working knowledge of hotmelt adhesive technology
• Experience in formulations development for consumer goods applications
• Established network within the hotmelt adhesive raw material industry
• Team leading experience is an advantage
• Fluency in English and preferably in German
• MS Office skills

You daily tasks will include :

• New hotmelt products development
• Project management
• Engage suppliers and third parties to learn about, and introduce new technology
• You will identify, qualify and introduce raw material alternatives to support overall cost of goods targets
• Team Leadership (team of 10)
• Drive the continuous improvement of product development capabilities, including physical facilities and team member competencies within own team
• Communication with the clients
• You will define, implement and monitor SHE-Q improvement actions within own team to ensure a safe, clean and efficient working environment in the development team
