My client, a specialist contaminated land consultant/contractor company have an exciting opportunity for a Contaminated land specialist to come and join a busy and growing team in the South East.

They are looking for a motivated and ambitious individual with a focus on contaminated land remediation to join their Remediation Service Line in their office located in Kent.

The successful candidate will be required to work closely with our Directors, Project Managers and Engineering Managers for the successful delivery of remediation projects with a practical knowledge of remediation processes. Excellent communication skills are essential and ability to work in a multi-disciplinary environment projects.

Duties will include:

  • Undertaking and / or coordinating investigations and remediation works including reporting.
  • Report review, interpretation and Remediation Strategy implementation.
  • Assist Director and Engineering Manager in final remediation design and deployment.
  • Preparation site specific risk assessments and method statements, Health And Safety Plans.
  • Undertake remediation site inspections.
  • Ensuring site works are compliant with health and safety, regulatory and project specific requirements.
  • Manage sampling and monitoring regimes, site data and scheduling.
  • Preparing and reviewing validation / completion reports;
  • Prepare and review tender proposals and assist with bid process.
  • Liaising with clients, external contacts and regulatory bodies when required.

Required experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years professional experience within the contaminated land / remediation sector.
  • Qualified to degree level in an environment/land related subject; however, candidates from a more practical background with experience of remediation works may also be considered.
  • Hands on experience of site work, sampling, site supervision,
  • Hold a valid CSCS card.
  • Good understanding of UK contaminated land regime and remediation technologies and health and safety regulations.
  • Have practical knowledge of installation and operation of remediation processes.
  • Excellent communication skills.

You will have good literacy and reporting skills, a flexible attitude to work, and possess the enthusiasm and drive to deliver the requirements of this role.

The job will require a willingness to travel; a full UK/EC driving license is essential.
