Occupational Therapist Assistant

I am working with a highly collaborative service in the South West of England who are looking for a qualified and experienced Occupational Therapist Assistant to join their service. The service are looking for a qualified Occupational Therapist Assistant to work within a unique, independent hospital specialising in the neurorehabilitation of adults.

With this Occupational Therapist Assistant opportunity you will work for a renowned specialist service that are especially focused on getting the most out of their patients. The service is eligible for Tier 2 Visa sponsorship, so this will allow you to take your first (or next) step in the UK whilst gaining valuable experience to become an expert in this field!

Your responsibilities would be:

  • Assist with assessment of patients' needs and strengths; including the use of formal and informal measures where appropriate; and provision of risk assessments.
  • Utilising assessment results to development care plans, management strategies, clinical goals, and evidence-based therapy plans, which are then clearly recorded and communicated.
  • Aid in monitoring, evaluating, and modifying treatment plans to ensure effectiveness using outcome measures.
  • Manage a caseload independently with help from the Lead OT.
  • To be integral in discharge planning including liaising with community teams, social services and equipment providers.

Requirements:

  • Educated to degree-level or equivalent desired
  • At least 2 year's experience in relevant health or social care setting
  • Experience in neurology of at least 6 months, and of specialist rehabilitation
