Specific Job Requirements

This position functions as a health care responder to medical inquiries from healthcare professionals, consumers, and employees in Asia region. Medical information is provided in a timely manner using corporate documents and up-to-date literature support. Routine responsibilities will include:

Utilizing a database of Standard Response Documents created by our Medical Director teams in response to inquires

Adapting global Standard Response Documents for local usage and creating local response documents as needed

Providing written or verbal responses to healthcare professionals, consumers, and employees requesting medical/product information regarding Gilead's products

Maintaining a record of all information dissemination via the global medical information database

Recognizing, obtaining pertinent data on, and accurately transmitting any reported adverse events or product complaints to the appropriate internal departments in a timely manner

Manning medical information booths at local conferences, as needed

Monitoring call centre service to ensure alignment with company procedures and quality of service

Supporting the development of departmental metrics, and policies and procedures (guidelines and SOPs), preparation of audit and inspections.

As a member of the medical information team, this position will participate in the delivery of medical information on both marketed products and those in clinical development; and the initial collection of adverse event reports and product complaints.

Additionally, the position may be responsible for training of staff if necessary. Knowledge and appreciation of all applicable regulatory and legal requirements for Medical Affairs activities is essential, as is accountability for serving as a role model for others in line with Gilead's Core Values.

Knowledge/Skills

Strong proficiency in English and Korean with excellent verbal and written communications skills, as well as excellent customer service skills are required. Must have a broad knowledge and understanding of products and diseases that allow for independent provision of complex information that is accurate and meets all regulatory requirements. Thorough grounding in clinical pharmacotherapy is essential. Must be able to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal departments and external contacts.

Specific Education and Experience Requirements

Typically requires a Pharmacy degree, or advanced degree in pharmacology or other related fields. Prior Drug Information or pharmaceutical industry experience required.
