Home based CIN Social Worker

A Local Authority based in the West Midlands is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join their CIN team which helps families access resources to help provide support and prevent breakdowns.

Highlights:

  • Caseloads are very well managed within the team and thresholds are very well defined
  • The team also have support workers who are able to support you with your cases
  • Will be joining an established team with good levels of staff retention with most social workers on the team having been there for more than a year
  • Local Authority use the Signs of Safety Practice Framework
  • The Local authority has a high level of resources which you will have access to in order to help support your caseload
  • Stable management team who are always on hand to provide support and extra guidance.
  • You will be Homebased where all meetings are done virtually
  • Pay rates are up to £32.34/Hr
  • This is an excellent opportunity to work directly with families to help support them and really make an impact when it matter the most. The work you do within this team will prevent the breakdown of relationships and help families access resources in the authority to help support them. Unlike a Child Protection team the cases you would not have reached the thresholds for safeguarding intervention as such visits are less frequent which enables you to be home based and do your meetings virtually where appropriate

As a member of the team you will generally hold duty 1 day/week and will have access to support worker who are able to follow up where necessary. Caseloads are very well managed making this a role which isn't going to have an impact on your work life balance by requiring you to work additional hours and weekends. You will also be joining a local authority which is performing well and has a stable workforce.

To be considered for this post you should have experience of working in a similar team. Social Workers from an assessment background are also being considered.
