Wiley is looking to hire an Associate Journals Publishing Manager to manage the maintenance and enhancement of Essential Evidence Plus (EE+), Wiley's proprietary Evidence-Based Medicine online decision-support tool, liaising with authors, the Editor-in-Chief, Associate Editors, production, and technical teams to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality content.

How you will make an impact:

  • Collaborate with internal colleagues and external academic editors to ensure that all work effectively together to maintain and enhance EE+
  • Commission and onboard new authors to update EE+ topics
  • Manage the monthly update cycle of EE+ topics, liaising with the editorial, production and technology teams to ensure schedule is met and topics meet quality standards
  • Administer monthly publishing of EE+ Podcasts, liaising with the Editors as needed
  • Chase late author submissions and Associate Editor completion of edits
  • Provide editorial and technical support to the Editor-in-Chief in the annual update of diagnostic calculators and clinical decision tools
  • Support the Custom Sites technology team in maintaining the EE+ website and manage the programme of proposed FY22 website enhancement projects to improve the presentation of content within the EE+ website, liaising with Custom Sites team as needed
  • Provide support for content management system for Essential Evidence Plus, responding to author and editorial queries and troubleshooting any process problems
  • Liaise with the marketing and campaign teams to support EE+ marketing
  • Assist with management of external relationships with customers

We are looking for people who have:

  • Maths and English GCSE or equivalent; degree desirable
  • Experience in the publishing industry, in particular journals management; experience in online publishing desirable
  • Attention to detail
  • Microsoft Outlook experience
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction and guidance. Able to prioritise and multi task conflicting deadlines

** Please note this is an approximately 12 month contract assignment **
