Social Worker - Looked After Children Team - North West

Qualified Social Workers with Looked After Children and Court Work experience needed to join a Looked After Children Team in the North West.

This is a Locum post, offering a salary of £35 per hour - a very competitive salary for the region and you also have the flexibility that comes with being an Agency Social Worker.

The successful candidates will be working with children and young people who are in care. They will be responsible for managing their own caseload of looked after children and will also be responsible for handling court cases after initial hearings. You will be working to ensure the best possible services for children whose long-term plan is to remain in care, while also reviewing reunification and special guardianship possibilities.

My client understands the importance of being in a positive and supportive work environment to ensure you can work autonomously and have the assistance you need to feel confident and comfortable in your role.

The successful candidates will be required to work 1 week in 2 in the office as part of the support bubble structure in place in the office, which will help to keep you safe.

The successful candidate:

• Must be a Qualified Social Worker
• Must be registered with Social Work England
• Must have at least 2 years experience in a LAC team and experience handling Court cases
