Help Children achieve Permanency

A Local Authority based in the West Midlands is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join their Permanency team which works with Looked After Children to achieve Permanency.

Highlights:

  • This post doesn't involve any Court Work.
  • The team pick up cases from Final Order until the Young Person reaches 16 or permanency is achieved.
  • You will be Home-based where all meetings are done virtually - Visits to Young People are still occurring on a face to face basis with PPE provided
  • You will be working closely with the Fostering and the Regional Adoption agency to help achieve Permanency. You will also be working closely with the Leaving Care service.
  • The Local Authority uses Systemic Practice so teams are organised in Hubs, which are made of a Multi-Disciplinary team to provide a more holistic package of care.
  • Pay rates are in line with the memorandum @ £32.34/Hr

    • This is a very rewarding post as you will have the opportunity to develop relationships with service users and ultimately help them achieve permanence through the most appropriate manner. You will be working closely with care providers as well as colleagues from Fostering services and the Regional adoption agency to ensure service users have best possible outcomes.

    The Local Authority has adopted Systemic Practice and understand the importance clear communication between services. Furthermore you will be working closely within a multi-agency team to ensure that you are supported and can draw upon the opinions of specialists to make safer and more effective decisions.
