Senior Scientist, Renal - Translational Science

My client is looking for a Senior Scientist to join their Translational Sciences team. My client is an early-stage drug development company who are experiencing a lot of growth and are stilling getting funding and hiring despite of Covid-19.

To be considered for the position you must:

• Have a PhD in renal disease or mitochondrial biology
• Have at least 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry working in a laboratory
• Knowledge of translational science and pharmacology
• Experience with working with in vitro and in vivo studies

The role is primarily based in the laboratory and your primary responsibilities will include:

• To work in depth with cellular and molecular biochemistry
• Design and deliver pharmacology studies
• Development and implementation of new translatable in vivo and in vitro cell model systems

The company is based in Cambridge and has just moved into new buildings. Now will be an exiting time to join them as they are in the process of moving into the clinical phase. However, this role is pre-clinical. You will have the opportunity to learn from your more senior colleagues, and get more experience as the culture is very knowledgeable and friendly.
