Fostering Senior Practitioner

NonStop Care is working with a well established Independent Fostering Agency in the Chelmsford area in order to recruit for a Senior Supervising Social Worker or a Fostering Senior Practitioner who can join them on a permanent basis.

In this role, you will be joining a national charity with an excellent reputation. They are using a social pedagogic approach or a holistic approach for building positive relationships with children and young people, meaning that they involve the children in the decision making process.

Responsibilities: The Fostering Senior Practitioner will deputise for the Fostering Manager where required, and will also be responsible for supervising the Supervising Social Workers.

You will develop high quality learning and development activities both for employees and foster carers. You will hold a reduced caseload.

Requirements:

- you will be a Senior Supervising Social Worker, Fostering Senior Practitioner or Advanced Practitioner

- must have supervisory experience (previous experience in supervising or offering support and guidance to less senior Social Workers)

- a very good understanding of the fostering legislation

- driving license
