Senior Practitioner - Safeguarding - West Midlands

My client, a Local Authority in the West Midlands, is looking for Senior Practitioners to join its Children's Safeguarding Team, which offers a competitive salary of £32.34 per hour.

If you are an experienced Qualified Social Worker looking to progress your career, this is a great opportunity for you. You will be responsible for managing a small caseload of around 10-15 Children in Need, Child Protection and Court cases. You will also be able to supervise Newly Qualified Social Workers and those completing their ASYE. This will provide you with the chance to supervise other Qualified Social Workers, helping you gain experience which you can use to progress your career further into Management positions.

This is a Locum post, meaning you will have money in your pocket at the end of every week. A rolling contract is also offered, providing you with a consistent income and the job security of a permanent post, but with the salary of being a Locum Social Worker!

The successful candidate will be working with children and families on a long-term basis to build good relationships and work towards positive outcomes for children and young people. You will therefore have the job satisfaction of being able to see the positive results of your work from start to finish.

The successful candidate:

• Must be a Qualified Social Worker
• Must be registered with Social Work England
• Must have at least 2 years experience in Child Protection
