Are you an experienced Social Worker, with recent experience in Fostering , who likes to make a difference in the lives of your people ?
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Supervising Social Worker to join a well- established Independent Fostering Agency in the East-Midlands/Lincolnshire area. This is a 12-month contract home-based role with the potential of being made permanent.
Our client is a Non-Profit Fostering Agency with any surplus made being re-invested directly back into improving the services. The agency strives to deliver the best quality placements for their children
Your responsibilities will be:
- Training and Recruitment of foster carers
- Support the continued development of Foster Carers
- Supervising and supporting Foster carers
- Safeguarding - making sure each child had an up to date Care Plan on file, ensuring that case recording are completed and maintained within policy time frames, Ensuring that all foster carers and adult household members have ad up to date DBS/medical/health & safety home check
- Finding and supporting placements- Promoting the Agency's reputation by representing them in direct contacts with Local Authority Social Services and other relevant intermediaries.
- Fostering Panel: assisting in the provision of timely and complete Form F assessments, reviews and other documentation required by the Panel.
- Working with other team members to support the Agency's work
Requirements:
- Registered social worker with at least 2 years post qualified experience
- Full Clean driving licence
- Current Enhances DBS check
- Knowledge of all the relevant legislation, regulations, guidance and standards relating to children's services
- Experience within Fostering
- Good knowledge of safeguarding including practice
