ROLE SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Associate Scientist to join the protein mass spectrometry group in BioMedicine Design (BMD). In this role the candidate will generate LCMS characterization data of a wide range of biotherapeutic modalities. The candidate will work with project teams to advance biotherapeutic candidates in the discovery space to support the large molecule discovery portfolio across Pfizer.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide mass spectrometry-based protein characterization work using established assays.
  • Determination of the major and minor products and impurities from intact protein and subunit analyses.
  • Analyze experiment data with manager guidance and present results to project research teams
  • Proper experiment documentations in electronic notebook
  • The qualified candidate must have good communication skill, attention to detail and strong organizational skills.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • BA or MS with 2+ years of relevant experience in Biochemistry, Biophysics or related discipline
  • Experience with liquid chromatography and protein mass spectrometry
  • General knowledge of protein handling and characterization
  • Capable of completing experiments with limited supervision
  • Experience with using Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
  • Excellent communication, presentation and documentation skills


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Prior experience in therapeutic protein discovery and biochemistry research
