The Senior Scientist (Scientist) - Bioassay role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:
  • Work independently with minimal supervision to design, develop, qualify and validate cell-based assays in support of our drug discovery programs.
  • Preparing draft assay methods and development/qualification reports
  • Provide assay support and advice to R&D groups; participate in assay transfer to manufacturing, and/or contractor laboratories.
  • Train others and help to troubleshoot assay problems as they occur.
  • Maintain awareness of the current literature relevant to methods of biochemical analysis.

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
  • Bachelor's degree in biology, biochemistry, pharmacology, immunology, or closely related field
  • Prior experience with cell culture, cell-based bioassay, and aseptic technique
  • Experience in running and analyzing bioassays in a pharmaceutical/biotechnology or academic environment.
  • Track record of working on multiple bioassay projects
  • Ability to design, troubleshoot and execute bioassay experiments independently.
  • Experience analyzing data, interpreting results and reporting data in laboratory notebooks
  • Ability to maintain accurate, complete laboratory records
  • Ability to communicate ideas and concepts


Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
  • Master's degree in biology, biochemistry, pharmacology, immunology, or closely related field
  • Prior experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Exper ience with laboratory automation.
  • GMP Experience
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to influence others.
  • Strong technical writing skills for documentation.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis of experimental results.
  • Demonstration of a high level of scientific rigor and integrity.
