Are you a seasoned professional chemist looking for a leadership role in consumer healthcare? If so, this role could be an ideal opportunity to explore.

As a Principal Scientist, you will act as a player-coach leading, managing and acting as a technical resource to a group within GSK's Consumer Healthcare division. This 5-7 person group is responsible for the supply, maintenance and characterization of reference materials through the global GSK consumer network.

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:

  • Manage and lead the Reference Materials Group.
  • Ensure new materials are provided to the network in a timely manner.
  • Support the maintenance ensure compliance of all instrumentation in the GSK CH RMG lab.
  • Liaise with manufacturing, Logistics, R&D, Quality Assurance and Procurement to ensure continuous supply of reference standards.
  • Continually develop knowledge in new areas of product technology to improve efficiency in assigned projects.
  • Initiate change controls and lead investigations while maintaining awareness of potential implications to other materials.
  • Provides general technical advice and support on cost savings and complexity reduction initiatives.
  • Ensure consumer is at the heart of product development.
  • Ensure compliance in all functional activities and support quality/compliance activities.
  • Ensure a safe working environment and proactively address potential safety concerns.


Why you?

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • PhD in Analytical Chemistry
  • 2 years experience with HPLC method development or reference standards.


Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • 5 years experience as a Principal Scientist or team leader.
  • 5 years Reference materials characterization experience
  • Extensive HPLCMethod Development experience.
