Job Summary
The Director, Data Analytics leads a team to manage the systems that support a broad range of analytical tools and processes used by internal stakeholders. The Director plays an integral role in establishing Comcast's Effectv business process and tools related to data innovation and insights to be utilized across the business. The Director serves as a trusted partner and is an internal consultant for a broad range of data sets currently being used, assists in evaluating new data sets, and evaluates process improvements via automation and application programming interface (APIs).
Job Description

Core Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of analysts; help guide, manage, motivate, and enable them to create, iterate, and support business intelligence and decision support reporting.
  • Create, maintain, and communicate a plan for modeling and executing enhanced reporting for sales support, business intelligence; and operational intelligence and strategy.
  • Implement and maintain tier 2 and 3 support for analytics using standardized tools and automation.
  • Prioritize analytics improvements based on value to business and ease of execution.
  • Showcase subject matter expertise in a domain such as mobile, performance marketing, web analytics, and social across multiple industries. Become an ad hoc expert on subjects as needed.
  • Develop deep, collaborative working relationships with business stakeholders and external partners to become a trusted partner for the data innovation and analytical insights needs.
  • Effective communication skills; ability to "tell the story," generate insights from large data sets that are actionable and add value to the business.
  • Provide thought leadership within and outside of EffectvConsistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.

Job Specifications:
  • Minimum Bachelors' Degree or equivalent
  • Must have experience managing a team of analysts including performance management, selecting & developing talent
  • Strong project management expertise
  • Experience managing teams with responsibility for analytics pipelines (Alteryx, Airflow, DBT, Qubole)
  • Experience developing dashboards and/or working with visualization tools (Looker, Tableau, PowerBI)
  • Experience modeling data for business intelligence
  • Strong competency in one or more data analytics / data science languages (SQL, Python, R, etc.)
