Manage a Dedicated MASH Team

A London based Local Authority. which achieved an Outstanding OFsted is seeking an experienced Social Work manager to join their MASH team to provide & support the operational management of the team

Highlights:

• Themes include Domestic Violence, CSE and Gangs
• Manage a team which will include 1 Senior Practitioner, 4-5 Social Workers & 4 unqualified staff
• Very stable team with most, if not all staff employed permanently
• Very supportive Team & Service Managers who both have extensive MASH experience
• Will be a part of the wider management team & will be involved in strategic discussions
• Will be deputising for the Team Manager
• Access to modular training provided by internal and external partners
• Access to resource such as Research in Practice and Making Research Count

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates who are keen to develop their management experience as you will be managing a team of Social Workers and unqualified staff. You will also be deputising for the Team Manager giving you the opportunity to further develop your management skills.

This assignment is within a high performing Local Authority where the MASH service had achieved an Outstanding Ofsted. The team is very stable with minimal staff turnover, with most staff also being employed on a permanent basis. Additionally you will have the fill support of the Team and Service Managers who are both extremely experienced managers specifically within MASH.

Current themes in the Local Authority include cases involving Domestic Violence and Abuse, CSE and Gangs so you will be investigating these cases along with your team giving you the opportunity to develop your experience in specific areas of Social Work.
