NonStop Care is looking for a Registered Manager to oversee a four bedded Children's home in the Surrey area.

This is an opportunity to work as part of a Well-Established charity with an excellent reputation and a Good Ofsted rating.

The organisation works to protect and support children and young people by ensuring they receive the practical and emotional support and care that they require, and by making sure their voices are heard.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing exceptional leadership for the home, including registering as the manager with Ofsted.
  • Responsible for the planned relocation for staff and children to the new home at project level.
  • Relocating to one of the new houses as the manager of the newly refurbished 4 bedded home once all of the planned works have been completed.
  • Enabling high quality service delivery which meets the needs of children and families.
  • Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with stakeholders, both internally and externally.
  • Managing the delegated budget.
  • Managing and training staff.

Role:

  • Manage the service that meets all the requirements of the organisation and the regulatory body's expectations of a good, outstanding or equivalent service through robust planning, review and monitoring of the policy practice and procedure throughout the service.
  • Establish and develop effective relationships and channels of communication with colleagues, community organisations, partner agencies and other external agencies, including chairing and leading multiagency meetings as appropriate
  • Lead and be accountable for the achievement of positive outcomes for children and young people and drive continuous improvement by using performance data and evidence-based outcome measures
  • Manage and be responsible for all aspects of the home, ensuring the team provides innovative, responsive, high quality and person cantered services to children, young people and their families based on an assessment of need that is regularly and professionally reviewed and is outcomes driven

  • Ensure systems and processes are in place and applied to enable all legal and statutory records to be maintained in line with regulatory and organisational requirements. To complete quality self- assessment report within timescales and to a high professional standard.
  • Manage a delegated budget, ensuring effective and efficient management of expenditure in the home/service in line with Action for Children policy, regulatory requirements and procedure and financial requirements.

Requirements:

  • Level 5 NVQ in Leadership and Management or equivalent or be prepared to work toward this.
  • Outstanding leadership qualities derived from excellent personal skills.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of OFSTED requirements and safeguarding practices.
  • Driver's Licence and access to car with reasonable adjustments made to meet the needs of the business according to the Equality Act.
  • Previous experience managing residential Children's homes at registered manager or team leader/ deputy level.
  • A positive approachable manner.
  • To be ambitious for children, young people and families.
  • Be able to meet the requirements for registration with Ofsted.
