Specific Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Hiring Manager, Virology Regulatory Affairs, the intern will work with various team members in the Gilead Foster City team to support regulatory submissions in the United States for marketed and development products.

Essential Functions:

Interns will gain hands-on experience in Regulatory Affairs through assisting the Virology Liaison team with projects to support department goals and objectives; regulatory submissions and activities, including but not limited to potential submission of clinical study reports, study protocols, and protocol amendments; and routine or major submissions to FDA, as applicable. In addition, the intern may conduct regulatory precedence-based research and communicate findings to support program objectives.

Knowledge, Experience & Skills:

Undergraduate or Graduate student enrolled in an accredited university/college; including enrollment in Fall Semester after internship

Majors related to Biology, Chemistry, and Pharmacy are preferred

Attention to detail, excellent organization skills, and good verbal and written communication skills are required.

Ability to work independently on routine assignments with regular check-ins and to work cooperatively with senior staff while providing key assistance on complex assignments.

Computer experience must include advanced computer software skills with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Ability to complete 10-12 consecutive weeks between May and September
