Global Medical Affairs Manager
One of my clients, an exciting player in the field of rare diseases is looking for an experienced Global Medical Affairs Manager. This position is based in Switzerland but has a global reach and responsibilities. If you are looking for your next challenge and bring an excellent scientific background (PhD/MD), if you are experienced with the TA of rare/orphan disease/ gastroenterology/ endocrinology), if you speak fluent English, this might be just the right opportunity for you!
What: Global Medical Affairs Manager
Where: based in Switzerland
Must haves: global medical affairs experience, relevant scientific background (PhD/MD), experience in the TA of rare/orphan disease/ gastroenterology/ endocrinology, fluent English
This position will be an integral part of the day-to-day operational global medical affairs activities, will have an essential part in reviewing Medical and Marketing materials as well as taking leadership of scientific data mining activities, creating the global medical affairs strategy in cooperation with the director, while working together with the country teams.
What you will do:
- Drive the global medical affairs strategy and provide global support to key countries
- Focus on the regional specifics and adjust the global strategy accordingly.
- Drive the Advisory Board preparations and follow-up activities, reimbursement dossier creation.
- Lead the training activities, mentoring efforts for other medical affairs team members such as the MSLs, medical advisors.
- Identify improvement areas for and provide global support to all countries.
- Oversee the Scientific Communication and Medical Information efforts.
- Review and approve marketing material for both internal and external use.
Who you are:
You have a relevant scientific background - MD / PhD.
You have experience with Global Medical Affairs in various countries, ideally both in pre/post launch phase.
You are an expert in the TA of orphan diseases and/or endocrinology.
You have experience in working closely together with medical affairs resources on a global level and have the ability to work collaboratively across geographies.
You bring big pharma experience.
You speak and right fluent - close to native level- in English (any other language - especially German / Italy - beneficial.
