Scientific Director - Investment in this department

A multinational pharmaceutical company is looking for a Scientific Director Biomarkers to lead a team in the Infectious Disease department. This company is investing a lot in this department and has hired already 5 new employees last year, which shows that you will get all the resources needed to do the job well and will feel valued.

In this role you will have a well-balanced combination of scientific and strategic responsibilities which means you will not be too far away from the research itself and can use your scientific background but you will also be able to decide on necessary innovations and drive collaborations with external partners.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a team of experienced scientists
• Define and execute strategies for biomarker identification and implementation
• Drive external partnerships
• Develop and deliver biomarker research plans
• Identify and validate novel biomarkers
• Report on the plans and progress of biomarker investigations to the internal departments

Requirements:

• PhD or MD degree, ideally in immunology or immuno-oncology.
• Multiple years of experience in biomarker research
• Multiple years of experience in R&D environment in academic setting or preferably in the pharmaceutical industry
• Experience with management is preferred
• Fluent level of English
