Non Stop Care is looking for an Operations Manager for a Children's Home in the Nottingham area.

The organisation prides themselves in providing excellence in residential care services for children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties aged 8-17 years old across the East Midlands.

Responsibilities:

  • Enhance outcomes for staff and children, improve staff competencies and safeguarding practice.
  • Ensure children's safety from threats to their health, welfare and development, from inside and outside the Organisation
  • To create and implement a development plan to improve results, safeguarding and achieve Ofsted "Outstanding" in all homes
  • Work with the directors to further develop the Organisation
  • Provide a flexible and adaptable service that responds to the sector's changing needs and Local Authority requirements.
  • To have flexibility to work from different locations, undertaking visits to Homes out of office hours
  • Provide regular quality evidence-based supervisions with SMART objectives and annual appraisals for Homes Managers/Deputy Managers.
  • Make sure that policies relating to the care of children are updated.

Requirements:

  • Residential Experience of a Children's Home as a Registered Manager for more than 3 years
  • Achieved a minimum of one Ofsted "Outstanding" Rating at full Inspection as a Children's home manager
  • Experience of developing caregiving staff to the position of Registered Managers.
  • Providing support to Home Managers
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage a wide range of conflicting priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including ability to use word and Excel to produce reports carry out correspondence and keep accurate records
  • Willingness to undergo a satisfactory enhanced DBS check and to register with the DBS update Service
  • Level 5 Diploma For Residential Childcare (or a Health & Social Care Degree)
