Process Engineer - Citrus

An international company specialised in the fragrance and cosmetics industry is currently looking for a Process Engineer in Citrus.

The company is renowned to be a global leader within the fragrance and cosmetics, for more than a century they have focused on finding innovative ingredients to match the market needs. Over the years, they have built up a team of experts who are dedicated their work to creativity and innovation.

In the frame of a major innovative project on Citrus ingredients for Fragrance, the company is looking for a process specialist who will assist the project leader in all the steps of developing new extracts from Citrus. The specialist will have a global overview of the Citrus extraction processes as well as the available capabilities inside the company and will lead the developments of innovative ingredients leveraging internal and external production tools.

Missions

• Manages projects requiring multi-competences (scientific, technical, management, communication,…) including several actors (private companies, universities, R&D centers…)
• Develops natural innovative ingredients answering to specific customer requirements (hedonic, physical-chemical, costs)
• Explores new processes to develop innovative ingredients (upcycled for instance) for fragrance and cosmetic applications
• Has a strong knowledge and experience in Natural ingredients for Flavors & Fragrances, especially Citrus: extraction processes (from the fruits to specialties), analytical chemistry, applications

Profile

• Manage all the steps of developing natural innovative ingredients from the lab to the industrial scale reflecting the constraints of cost, timing, quality and sustainability
• Train operating workers on new processes and set up efficient Standard Operating Procedures
• Lead basic physico-chemical analyses on natural ingredients and validate the development steps
• Potentially manage lab technicians or apprentices
• Able to travel all around the globe to meet project partners, evaluate extraction capabilities and manage the first steps of industrial production
• Proved records in project management
• Fluent in English - Willing to work in Florida (USA) or in Grasse (France) and willing to move in Florida from 2024
