Children's Support Worker - Short Shifts

Up to £10.20/hour

NonStop Care is looking for a Support Worker to join a residential unit which is part of a school for Children and Young People with profound learning disabilities near Lancashire.

During the school week, the unit provides comprehensive care to up to 6 of the schools pupils. The role requires work only from Monday to Saturday afternoon. They have very reasonable shift patterns, with shifts worked around school hours, and only one sleep in per week.

The service uses a holistic approach, with the residents educational targets supported through their evening activities.

Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for providing all aspects of personal care to the residents of the home outside of school hours, ensuring that their needs are met and their well-being safeguarded. You will encourage and support the young people to participate in activities that promote independence and community involvement.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in the care sector (Children's or Adults)
• Level 3 in Health and Social Care or Children & Young People's
• UK drivers license and own transport
