The client

The role

This is a newly created position as a Registered General Nurse (RGN) with experience of working with Children Looked After in children's homes in Cumbria.

You will join our Multi-disciplinary team responsible for the assessment of the children that we look after.

You will work predominantly with the children during their assessment placement, usually for a time period of around 17 weeks during which time they will receive health, educational, psychometric and care assessment to ensure an informed approach to permanency for that child when they leave the service.

As the in-house RGN, you will be responsible for supporting the children, as well as working with families and carers and liaising with external agencies as required to enable the children to access the best possible health outcomes.

Candidate's profile

- Registered General Nurse

- Experience of Paediatric nursing including children and young people (experience working with children looked after)

- Experience of developing and supporting a team of individuals (performance management)

- Excellent communication skills

- Be involved in various duties within assessment and of vulnerable children, training and development of staff, safeguarding, presentations
