We are looking for an experienced Team Leader/Senior Support worker to join a four bedded Residential Children's Home for Children and Young people with EBD in the Bradford area.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who I looking for career progression. This is a chance to work with an organisation who has developed a unique induction and personal development programme for each successful individual employee.

The organisation has a unique training package for each individual which also includes access to vocational qualifications to ensure effective performance and development.

Responsibilities:

  • To ensure shifts are planned with Residential Support Workers, to lead shifts and be responsible for the events on the shift
  • Make sure that all risks are safely managed in line with the company policies and procedures
  • To communicate effectively with the team of staff coming onto shift ensuring that a thorough account of your shifts events has taken place
  • To make sure written reports and documentation that truly reflects the progress of the young person for planning meetings/reviews is provided
  • Be responsible for setting up, co-ordinating and reviewing the children's files, Care plans, Risk Assessments, Behaviour Management Plans, Health Care Documentation, Agreements and Incentives
  • To take part in any training that is deemed appropriate to your position
  • To attend staff meetings and be a positive role model to the children at their meetings
  • To be able to address standards of behaviours from children, in a calm non-confrontational and constructive manner.

Requirements:

  • NVQ 3 In Children and Young People or equivalent
  • Full driving license with access to own transport
  • Ability to work shifts and Sleep-ins
  • Successful applicant must be over the age of 21 (regulatory requirement)
  • 1+ Years of crisis support experience (Preferred)
