Technical Sales Consultant - Training Provided
Have you just graduated with a degree in chemistry?
Do you feel you do not want to pursue research positions?
If you are exploring other opportunities to use your scientific background, in a customer facing role, my client has few positions to spark your interest. The company is a global science and technology leader supporting numerous industries with innovative life science products, including pharma, chemical, biotech, and environmental.
In this role you will be given full training to understand the complete product portfolio, and become the go to person for your customers in the region. You will also be given tools to sharpen your sales and problem solving skills, and become an experienced sales consultant in your field.
Your responsibilities will include sales, as you will focus on acquiring new customers in the region and at the same time, you will provide technical support to the customers, as the first point of contact. With a thorough training and continuous opportunity to perfect your skills, this is a great chance to enter the industry and explore a commercial career. You will have the chance for continuous development through on the job training and collaboration with your experienced peers.

Your tasks
Technical support of customers
Acquisition of new customers and expansion of market share
Advice and quotation for product portfolio, and helping customers with application inquiries
Planning and holding of training seminars, attending trade fairs and conferences
Analysis & reports on sales and market developments in respective sales area
Travel once per quarter to visit customers (up to a week)
Your background:
A degree in chemistry/biochemistry/or equivalent experience
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Success-oriented and commercial thinking
Analytical thinker
Business fluent German and English
Good knowledge of MS Office programs (Excel, Powerpoint, Word)
Class B driving license
