Logstics Specialist - Pharma

We are currently working with one of the largest Pharmaceutical clients in the world, who are looking for a Logistics professional who can work office based in their facility in Basel, Switzerland. The role is to start immediately for 12 months, plus with a high chance of extension. This role does not have shift patterns, which will give you a better work/life balance. Due to the location of this role, German fluency will be mandatory, mainly from a working perspective.

Description:

1. Acts as Subject Matter Expert for Logistics topics, ensures that agreed milestones, quantity, quality and timelines are met
2. Prepares shipment documentation (customs invoices, import / export licenses, declaration values, controlled drug regulations, dangerous goods regulations, etc.) with adherence to GxP, and International Trade Regulations compliance
3. Selects the most efficient shipment mode and route
4. Writes, reviews and trains process specific SOPs
5. Responsible for "trouble shooting" and solution of problems relating to Biologics, respectively logistics issues
6. Checks transport invoices
7. Supports other departments within Novartis in transportation/distribution related topics.
8. Acts as a Super User for SNCM - SAP application for shipments of non-commercial material.
9. Is responsible for communicating challenges to internal and external stakeholders. Adapts priorities in response to changing needs. Knows when to act independently or when to escalate issues.
10. Is able to describe in detail the Logistics processes and acts as Subject Matter Expert for internal/external inspections
11. Provides training and ensures colleagues know and use appropriate processes and procedures and are aware of the risks of non-compliance.
12. Acts as a role model for Novartis values and behaviours
