The role
The School of Arts at the University of Bristol seeks to appoint an AssociateProfessor/Professor in Screen Arts and Digital Media to the Department of Filmand Television for September 2021.
What will you be doing?
You will play a key role in the strategic and research leadership of the thriving Film and Television department, with the expectation of being Head of Subject for a three-year period. The successful candidate will be part of a strong and vibrant team, developing and implementing the strategic plan for the realisation of its ambitious plans in the digital arts at local, national and international levels. You will be able to consolidate existing strengths and facilitate the expansion into other areas of the digital screen arts. We particularly seek candidates with an outstanding research profile who are demonstrably experienced and successful research leaders.
You should apply if
You will have an international research profile with an outstanding track record in grant capture and publications in the field of digital aesthetics, screen media and/or interactive/immersive technologies. Desirable research specialisms include contemporary 2D/3D animation and immersive and/or interactive digital screen technology/immersive media and we are open to other fields.
