The role
The School of Earth Sciences wishes to appoint a short-term Lecturer in Tectonics and/or Volcanology to assist in the delivery of its undergraduate and postgraduate taught programmes for one year, and to engage in world class research with the Centre for the Observation and Modelling of Earthquakes, Volcanoes and Tectonics (COMET).
What will you be doing?
The successful candidate will work with the Undergraduate Director of Education and the Programme Directors to deliver and assess lectures, practical sessions and field classes in tectonics, geological mapping and volcanology, offer MSc and MSci projects and act as a personal tutor.
You should apply if
Applicants will have an undergraduate degree and a PhD in Earth Sciences, Geology, Geophysics or related relevant subject and a track record of research excellence, and they will share our ambition for a diverse and equitable School.
