National Composites Centre role:

The National Composites Centre is at the forefront of the composites revolution. We're accelerating exciting and innovative new technologies and working with industry to make the future of light-weighting materials a reality. But any world-leading engineering company (and especially such a techy one) needs a world-leading Finance team, not to mention Leadership. This is where you come in.

This role straddles the day to day operation of Finance within a small (but rapidly growing) SME, and strategic thinking at a senior level. You'll be accountable for the Financial function at NCC, leading a high-performing team, while delivering a financial strategy across the business. You'll define the business partnering approach going forward, and orchestrate how we manage budgets, reporting, continuous improvement projects, and more.

So what are we looking for?
  • Excellence - you'll have a proven record of managing a finance function, ideally within a similar industry, sector, or organisation. You've delivered improvements, not just in terms of policy and procedure, but culture, people, and behaviours
  • Influence - a huge part of this role is aligning various stakeholders to your new vision of Finance at NCC. You'll know how to advocate for change, get people on-side, and take pride in your work
  • Creativity - you can look at a challenge in a different light, carefully consider potential solutions, take ambiguity in your stride, and turn problems into solutions
In return you'll join a collaborative culture in a centre for excellence, poised to make a real difference worldwide. With the chance to set your own vision, this is the role you've been waiting for.

So why NCC?
  • We're leading innovation on a global level. The NCC is accelerating cutting-edge technologies worldwide, and this is your opportunity to bring our technical IT architecture and business culture up to the quality of our engineering capability
  • We're a non-profit employer - you'll see your work have a positive impact on the UK economy, far and near technology innovators, and the future state of technology for the greater good (digital and sustainability are big drivers for us going forward!)
  • The timing is right. We've on the precipice of something big, and this is your opportunity to make your mark on the future of IT at NCC, making this a career-defining role
