Do you have the ability to contribute to the development and implementation of the strategy for Research and Innovation within the Faculty?
Are you looking for a challenging leadership position and are you passionate about supporting staff to achieve academic excellence in an international and interdisciplinary context?
LAHRI aims to support and promote interdisciplinary research for all researchers in the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Cultures. It works with academic staff to develop research projects and apply for research funding, provides support for research-related activities, and supports a research community of postdoctoral and visiting Fellows who are hosted in its premises in Clothworkers South. As well as offering bespoke support to individuals, and supporting groups of researchers to respond to external funding schemes and calls, LAHRI runs a series of internal funding schemes, including Sadler Seminars, a pump-priming scheme, short-term postdoctoral Fellowships and, with colleagues in the library, the Brotherton Fellowships. Current strategic priorities include: enabling academics to adapt to changing funding landscapes, developing international research partnerships, and supporting the development of early-career researchers.
Working principally with the Director, Pro-Dean for Research and Innovation, the LAHRI Research Administrator and staff in the Faculty Research Office, the Deputy Director will play a key role in advancing and implementing the LAHRI's mission and vision.
