The role
We wish to appoint a talented and enthusiastic person at Lecturer / Senior Lecturer level in health economics to join the team based in the Musculoskeletal Research Unit in Bristol Medical School. As the postholder, you would be expected to design and lead applied and methodological work in health economics within health services research.
What will you be doing?
As the post holder, you will join a multidisciplinary group of epidemiologists, statisticians, musculoskeletal clinical academics and researchers carrying out impactful research into musculoskeletal conditions, their treatment and outcomes. You will contribute to the group's portfolio of high-quality applied research and lead in the use of economic analyses to evaluate care and health services based on evidence from randomised controlled trials and non-experimental study designs

You should apply if
- You have a PhD in health economics or a closely related discipline;
- You can show evidence of completion of several research projects using cost-effectiveness, cost-utility and/or cost-consequences analyses;
- You have a strong track record of peer-reviewed research outputs and application for external funding;
- You have experience in and a desire to develop and deliver high quality teaching of health economics to students and postgraduates
- You are able to communicate effectively to health economists, clinicians, other professional groups, and lay audiences.
