The Faculty Operations Director is a new role, directly reporting to the Faculty Executive Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health (with a dotted line to the Director of Operations).
The role is responsible for managing the effective operation of the Faculty, ensuring that our activities are properly aligned and managed effectively to ensure the implementation of the Faculty strategic plan. You will be a member of the Faculty senior management team and a focus of the new role will be to work in close partnership with members of the Faculty Executive Committee and other senior stakeholders to deliver a wide range of operational and strategic initiatives.
You will be an experienced senior level leader, with a background in a scientific discipline, who can question and challenge, influence colleagues, lead change and achieve results. Your approach will be considerate, persuasive and engaging, bringing key stakeholders along with you, ensuring strategic alignment and transformational change. The ability to analyse data, distil and communicate relevant information and its context to Faculty leaders is an important aspect of this role. You will actively network across the University and with external partners and will understand the importance of relationships and wider engagement. Flexible arrangements to support current and ongoing development of national roles will be considered.
