The Faculty of Engineering and IT (FEIT) develop distinctive programs that integrate teaching and learning, research, and industry engagement to achieve outcomes that deliver and promote the advancement of professional engineering and information technology practice. An exciting opportunity has arisen to manage the Unit International Team in delivering international engagement initiatives, offshore programs, and student recruitment.

This position focuses on the development, implementation, and effective management of the faculty's international activities, with broad collaboration across faculties and central units. The role has diverse responsibilities including coordinating a range of discrete projects and international activities; undertaking analysis and assessment of a wide variety of issues; high-level policy strategic advice and professional support.

Detailed Description

About the role:
  • Develop and deliver strategic direction and operational plans relating to international activities, in close collaboration with relevant across the university,
  • Develop new articulation and pathway programs, providing advice on program design, the navigation of appropriate university approval processes and management of the implementation,
  • Cultivating complex international partnerships, developing proposals, negotiating contracts, leveraging opportunities, resolving issues and managing risks,
  • Managing daily financial responsibilities of the unit's international initiatives and activities, and financial management of strategic projects and programs,
  • Maintaining a high-performing team using concepts of innovation and continuous improvement.

About you:
  • Highly developed planning and organisational skills, proven ability to set and understand priorities and to work effectively under pressure,
  • Capacity to work collaboratively and persuasively within a diverse university community and in a range of cultural contexts,
  • Experience in providing high-level advice in the development and implementation of strategy,
  • Demonstrated experience with complex project management.
