PHS is NIH/NINR funded clinical trial. It is multi-disciplinary with 10 researchers from 5 universities and is conducted at UNC-Chapel Hill School of Nursing. Details of the study protocol is found at ClinicalTrials.gov.The research assistant is expected to execute the project activities, which include clinical data collection, study coordination, and maintaining excellent communication with the PI. The Prenatal Heart Smart study investigates the effects of a novel stretching exercise intervention on cardiovascular health in obese pregnant women in the 3rd trimester, and will include evidence-based behavioral strategies to enhance adherence.Duties include collaboration with the recruitment nurse, Biobehavioral Lab manager, and behavior interventionists. This position will schedule study appointments, collect clinical data, and maintain integrity of data and protocols. Additionally, research assistant will develop and as needed revise/update the project protocols, plan and design analyses, conduct analyses, produce time sensitive reports for the different panels (e.g., IRB, DSMC, NIH/NINR, ClinicalTrials.gov) to refine the analyses in a series of project cycles, contribute substantively to scientific papers, presentations and other dissemination.Qualified applicants will have excellent project management skills, excellent verbal communication skills, ability to pay attention in details, ability to work with a high degree of independence and initiative and to make and adhere to self-imposed timelines.*Education and Experience:*Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to the field assigned and one year of related training or experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
