ROLE SUMMARY
  • Performsbio-functional immunological assays to support vaccine clinical development in a high-throughput setting.
  • The responsibilities include but not limited to performing manual and/or robotic bio-functional assays, such as opsonophagocytic assays, serum bactericidal assays, toxin neutralization assays, and/or viral neutralization assays.
  • All work will be done according to applicable SOP(s), and in compliance with cGLP regulations, as required.
  • The incumbent will work in a team setting and will share roles and responsibilities as assigned by the Team Leader/Manager.


ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Performs various bio-functional assays in accordance with established protocols, in a timely and efficient manner.
  • May be asked to learn & perform other assays or tasks within the high throughput area, as needed.
  • These assays and tasks require attention to detail, collaboration with others and teamwork.
  • Completes required documentation for laboratory work.
  • This includes information and data organization/review.
  • After proficiency is demonstrated and experience obtained, the incumbent may be asked to train, or assist in the training, of other new analysts on the test method(s).
  • Participates in laboratory management by stocking supplies and reagents needed for daily laboratory operation.
  • Where applicable, performs job responsibilities in compliance with cGLP and all other regulatory agency requirements.
  • Satisfactorily completes all cGLP and safety training in conformance with Departmental requirements.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree and 1-2 years of relevant experience.
