Are you experienced in project management, with excellent planning, organisational and communication skills?
Could you work with colleagues across the Library and IT to coordinate the implementation of new Library Reading List and Online Course Readings Management Systems?
The Library is replacing its Reading List System and its Online Course Readings Management System, moving from systems developed by the University of Leeds to Ex Libris's Leganto system and use of the CLA Document Store respectively. The Library operates Ex-Libris's Alma as its Library Management System. We are looking for a Project Manager to coordinate for the Library the implementation of the new reading list system, as well as workflows and storage for the Online Course Readings service.
Working closely with the key members of Collections Services, the IT Project Manager, and academic colleagues you will oversee from the Library's perspective the implementation and delivery of this project. You will ensure that Library processes are mapped to the new system, that Library staff are prepared and trained for the change to Leganto, and you will work with IT colleagues and suppliers to ensure that lists are migrated to the new system. You will also work with colleagues, including the Library's Communications Team, to promote the new system to academic tutors to ensure good uptake.
This is a major project for the Library: the Reading List System holds reading lists for 7,000+ modules, serving all faculties and levels of study. The Library's Online Course Readings System provides scanned chapters to enable access to popular and in demand texts. Reading Lists inform Library purchases, provide access to priority and recommended resources and play a key role in collection development. You will need to work effectively with colleagues across the Library, IT and the faculties in order to ensure the successful delivery of this project.

Please note: If you are not a British or Irish citizen, from 1 January 2021 you will require permission to work in the UK. This will normally be in the form of a visa but, if you are an EEA/Swiss citizen and resident in the UK before 31 December 2020, this may be your passport or status under the EU Settlement Scheme.
Due to the current Government Coronavirus social distancing measures, the interviews for this role are likely to be conducted remotely using Microsoft Teams or Zoom. It is also expected that relevant work within these roles may be done remotely, within the UK, while these restrictions remain in place.
