Patience Masamha's lab in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences atButler University in Indianapolis, Indiana. Applicants are expected to have a Ph.D. in MolecularBiology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry or some other related life science. The project is focused onunderstanding the mechanisms of gene expression in mantle cell lymphoma, a hematologicalmalignancy. The research will involve next-generation sequencing data, molecular cloning, geneediting as well as other molecular and cell biology techniques. Experience in standard wet-labtechniques including cell culture DNA, RNA and protein isolation and analysis is required. Someexperience working with next-generation sequencing data is a plus but is not required. TheMasamha lab strives to provide a supportive environment that will foster the fellow's skills inresearch design, data analysis, scientific writing, research presentation, teaching and criticalthinking skills that will help them become an independent investigator. This is a grant fundedposition for a minimum of one year and is renewable for up to 4 additional years based onperformance.Applications will be received on a continuous basis until a suitable applicant is found.
