This position is responsible for the daily operations of clinical projects and directly supervises the graduate internship program in the department. Assists the Director in evaluating current clinical operations and manages the process improvement initiatives aligned with strategic goals. Establishes and manages regular analytical reports designed to monitor clinical operations and prospectively inform decision makers in a dynamic healthcare environment. The internship will be for a 2-year period. *Responsibilities to include:*- Primary responsibility for managing employed graduate interns responsible for key clinical projects which support the department's strategic goals. Evaluates and recommends modifications to current clinical operations to improve patient management and business operations across all stakeholders, including surgical departments, pre-surgical clinic, OR operations, and faculty group practice clinics. Delegates appropriate tasks and deliverables to department staff and interns. - Oversees employed graduate interns in the development of analytical tools designed to evaluate and monitor progress towards achieving the triple aim of improving the patient experience of care, improving the health of populations, and reducing the per capita cost of healthcare. - Directs employed graduate interns in the design, development, and execution of operational assessments and studies that provide actionable information for the project teams. Develops work flow diagrams, improvement concepts, implementation timelines, and resource assignments to ensure progress towards collaborative goals and initiatives. - Coordinates and leads all meetings among stakeholders, captures meeting minutes and assignments, and updates all materials to correspond with progress towards collaborative goals and initiatives. Serves as the primary liaison between stakeholders and other operating units impacted by the PSH model. - Serves as a link between leadership and staff by interpreting and administering policies and procedures and resolving operational issues. Advises faculty, staff, and leadership regarding university policies and procedures.
