The Integrated Reading and Writing Program will complement the existing university commitment to supporting our diverse student population through the existing Writing Center, First-Year Composition program, and the Writing Across the Curriculum program, housed within the Department of Language, Literature, and Arts, as well as the Student Academic Success Center, the Texas Success Initiative Program, and Advising. We seek candidates who can lead our campus in continuing to implement university pedagogies and curricula responsive to our institutional and regional context. The Director of the Integrated Reading and Writing is a 12-month appointment as an Instructional Assistant Professor, a continuing, non-tenure track position that requires teaching and administration. The position will be housed in the English program within the Department of Language, Literature and Arts; teaching assignments will include co-requisite Integrated Reading and Writing courses. The base teaching load for this faculty classification at Texas A&M University-San Antonio is 4/4, and this hire will receive a 50% course reassignment to lead the co-requisite program. The administrative work will include developing and implementing faculty training as well as working with faculty to create a sustainable co-requisite reading and writing curriculum. The Director will be responsible for staffing corequisite English courses, training new faculty, and ensuring consistency in the program. *Required Qualifications:*• A PhD.
