*Job location: *Medical Center (Charlottesville, VA) *Employment Type:* Full-time *Posted data:* 2021-03-11 *Req:* R0022515 The Director, Occupational Health & Wellness is responsible for implementing a variety of initiatives to further health and wellness programs within the Medical Center and University.* Provides effective leadership to team/work group.* Commitment to organization's vision, values, purpose, and direction is nurtured. Unit / department goals are aligned effectively with the strategic direction of the medical center. Department goals and objectives are implemented with staff involvement and appropriate delegation. Teamwork is fostered for effective department / unit operations. All relevant issues, stakeholders and broad systematic implications are considered when making decisions. Opportunities are created and promoted to celebrate the contributions of the team/work group.* Models effective communication and collaboration skills / behaviors. Cooperation is always promoted when working with other work groups. Information is shared appropriately with employees and those that might find it useful. Follow through is maintained on committed actions in a timely manner.* In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.Position Compensation Range: $96,907.20 - $155,043.20 AnnualMINIMUM REQUIREMENTSEducation: Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree must be obtained within 4 years of hire or transfer. If licensed to practice as Registered Nurse - Bachelor of Science in Nursing from accredited nursing program.Experience: Five years of relevant experience.Licensure: NonePHYSICAL DEMANDSThis is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers.
