We are seeking a stellar Pro Vice-Chancellor (Indigenous Engagement) to provide leadership in achieving the University's strategic goals in relation to Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander engagement, education, research and the enhanced employment of Indigenous people in the University.

This exciting position reports to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor & Vice-President (Academic).

This is a full-time position with 0.6FTE dedicated to the role of Pro Vice-Chancellor Indigenous Engagement and up to 0.4FTE available to pursue your research in the relevant School or Faculty.

To be successful you will need:
  • Excellent communication, representation, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • A knowledge and understanding of the issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the higher education sector.
  • Demonstrated leadership in the Indigenous education portfolio within a university environment.
  • Significant experience in academic administration in a university of similar organisation at a senior level, including having been responsible for the management of one or more key areas.
  • Extensive experience in the field of Indigenous education, including a proven track record in leading strategic developments.
