The position also liaises with faculty research support staff on faculty delegated agreements.

The UTS Deputy Vice-Chancellor Research is recruiting for a Research Administration Assistant to be responsible for the provision of a wide range of research administration support within the Project Enablement Team including project establishment, project post-award administration and reporting, project data entry and management. The position also liaises with faculty research support staff on faculty delegated agreements.
Detailed Description
If successful in applying for this role, you will:
- Provide high-quality and efficient administrative support for the Project Enablement Team.
- Assist with the development of standard office processes and procedures.
- Contribute to office-wide projects, such as continuous improvement, by raising ideas and in some cases documenting/designing/revising processes relevant to the role and fosters an environment of continuous process improvement.
- Under general direction of the relevant Case Manager, assist with the establishment of funded projects including approving project notifications in the database, notification of activity codes to researchers and completion of data entry including project milestones and deliverables and vitalling relevant university records.
- Respond to enquiries and information requests from other RIO team members and the UTS research community with particular responsibility for liaising with Faculties in relation to Faculty delegated research projects and inputting all related data for project management and reporting purposes.
- Perform work activities relevant to the role's key accountabilities as approved by the supervisor and commensurate to the role's classification.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skill
- A strong customer service attitude
- A high level of accuracy, literacy, numeracy and attention to detail
- Experience and proficiency with the use of standard office software packages and systems such as Word, Excel, email, databases and web browsers
- The ability to prioritise and carry out a range of competing tasks to a high standard. The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines in a dynamic environment
- Experience working in a high-volume environment, ideally in a university, research institute, or higher education setting
